Mother Teresa once said, "The most important medicine is tender love and care". In our heart there is a huge desire for every person on earth to feel noticed, needed and, in a moment of crisis, to find sincere support and care in people around them.
There is nothing more powerful than a dream and inspiration that can move a person's life. So we want to help people who survived difficult circumstances that may have destroyed their dreams, to believe again in their oun potential, better future and to find inspiration to live on.
When people regain the strength and courage to return to the starting line on the path to their dreams, we want to equip them with what they need to fulfil their potential and start moving forward.
But the charitable activities of the church's volunteers began in the early 2000s, when the youth of the church were united into the Public Organization "Youth Movement "Tribe X-Ukraine"”. In 2005-2008, the Youth Movement continuously held the "Shine" and "Strength" programs for teenagers in secondary schools, the team of "Doctor Clown" volunteers went every week to serve children in hospitals and various institutions where there were children abandoned by their parents, children with disabilities, children with serious illnesses and orphans. We regularly visited oncology centers, boarding houses, took care of orphanages and boarding schools. In 2011, the Youth Movement first organized its big Christmas project "On the Angel’s Wings", the goal of which is to make people's dreams come true for Christmas. A few years later, we launched our second and third major projects - "School Bag" and "Kilo of Kindness". Today, all three projects are officially registered projects of the CO CF City Care and being annually held.
We also joined the volunteers army that brought humanitarian aid to the population of Ukraine in the frontline regions. Since the foundation was founded by the Hillsong Ukraine Church, the church collected special donations every year and, cooperating with the American organization "Emmanuel" in Ukraine, provided the homes of people in the front-line area with heat (stoves and firewood), and the families living there, first with food kits, and then with special sets of seeds so that people can sow their gardens in the summer, grow vegetables and stock up on the necessary products for their families for the winter.
Our team was involved in the evacuation of people from Kyiv and the region, we resettled people in the West of Ukraine and abroad, supported of Kyiv TROs, and provided food kits and medicines to the people who remained in Kyiv and the region. After the liberation of the northern part of Ukraine, our team made weekly trips to liberated cities and villages with humanitarian aid for people who survived the occupation. After that, we switched to helping people in the southern and eastern frontline regions of Ukraine.
Today, we continue to provide humanitarian aid to Ukrainians on an ongoing basis. In addition, we support those most affected by Russian aggression by visiting modular towns, military hospitals, maternity homes, equipping shelters for people, cooperating with schools, with state social centers for the protection of children, as well as with organizations such as Save Ukraine, which take care of children returned from russian occupation, etc. All our projects are currently aimed at supporting, rebuilding and rehabilitating the people who suffer the most from the war in Ukraine.
